In the shadows silently leaving the coldness came without warning. Descending softly without a sound. Leaving nothing to be found... Except for a mask. A mask of deceit and of lies. To hide a secret that she would not tell, could not tell. But soon it became too much to bare. And it slowly seeped through. And she could no longer wear the mask. For it revealed what she hid so well. A face filled with grief. A face filled with loneliness. A face filled with pain. And a face filled with sadness. All of this caused from a broken heart that she thought could never be mended. But she was wrong, for as each day came and passed, her heart let go a piece of that sorrow that gripped her so tightly for so long. And as her heart healed she realized what she had missed all along... A hand by her side, never wavering, never leaving. --katrynnie
